Post #1 - Expectations of Course

From the brief introduction of this course, I am very excited to get into it. I am in my second year of teaching and finding out all of the different opportunities that a school can offer. The first part of the course will deal with leadership. This portion of the course I will be able to use in multiple aspects of teaching. It will help in my classroom, coaching, professional development and many more. I am excited to learn and develop a larger leadership role in my school district.

The second part of the course is very exciting to me. I deal a lot with the technology in my school district. I am not the technology coordinator but work closely with him. He has allowed me to see and be a part of his everyday activities. This has been great for me because I would like to become a technology coordinator at some point in my career. The second half of this course is going to talk about decision making in what technology to use in the school district. I have had opportunities to do this in my school district and I am looking for more insight and better methods of choosing technology as well as implementing the technology into classrooms.

One of the top topics I would like to learn from this class is finding technology that works for everyone. I have a good idea of the technology that works best for my classroom but this is not always the case for other classrooms. I would like to find out and learn how to find the technology, become and expert at it and then help the other teachers implement all of the technology into their classrooms.
