My Education Philosophy
The world always tells you to find a job that you love and enjoy doing every single day. For me this is education. I have the ability to teach, prepare, inspire, and empower students to improve and be prepared for the world after school. I strive to provide a learning environment that challenges students to succeed and to learn from mistakes. Within my classroom I try to build relationships with my students. The ability of a student to feel safe and comfortable learning will open up more doors for the student.
Education has many parts to it. One part that I am very passionate about is technology. Technology is one of the most powerful tools available to us. There are endless boundaries to what we can do and explore with technology. Technology is a tool that should be used in classrooms to help students learn, explore, enrich, and advance their knowledge of subjects. Technology use in education needs to be with a purpose. Technology should not be used in a classroom just for the idea of using technology. Technology should be used used to enhance and improve technology within a classroom.
Technology is a part of today's society. The students in my classroom never knew a world without technology. As an educator I need to stay up to date with technology. Technology is always changing and evolving. This is were being a life long learner is a key part to technology.
One part of technology that is becoming a greater impact on education is cyber education. In my classroom I believe that instructing and informing students of the expectations along with the dangers of an online world. Today students spend as much time online as they do face to face. We need to have a education system set up to make sure our students are learning on to be responsible adults online as we do in the real world.
