Instruction is a very powerful part of education. The content being taught within a classroom does not matter unless the learning environment is set up. Instruction and procedures allow students to have the best learning opportunity possible. Teaching with technology to improve learning is a important part of today's education. As technology continues to grow, educators must learn how to use technology to assist their instruction and to improve and empower student growth.
Objectives:
1. Apply learning theory and the principles of instructional design in curricular and instructional decision-making.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in teaching and assessing others in the use of computers and related technologies in a variety of educational settings.
3. Be aware of professional organizations in the field of computer education and technology and their impact on the field of education.

This course gave me the ability to learn how to create effective instruction, lessons, and professional development. For my project I created an instructional plan to provide a professional development for the teachers within my district on incorporating different parts of the Microsoft 365 suite into their classrooms.
Instructional Technology for Active Learning

This course allowed me to understand the ability of active learning for students versus the traditional approach of PowerPoint and lecture. This course focused on project based learning. For my paper I developed a project based learning lesson for students to create and use phone applications. This course allowed me to learn how to better use project based learning techniques within my classroom.

Research is a very important part of education. As an educator we must have a great understanding of the content we are teaching. Research is a major part of learning the content. This class allowed me to learn about locating and analyzing the research that I use. This course allowed me to learn and feel comfortable when researching different topics within my courses.

Education today is moving more and more online. This course gave me an idea of how to effectively teach outside of the physical classroom. The course allowed me to understand how important discussion and interaction among students is even in an online setting. The course also allowed me to understand how to use learning management tools online as well as to improve a physical classroom setting. For my paper I researched how education uses learning management tools and how they could be used more effectively within online and physical classrooms.
