Week 10 - Technology Plan Reflection

I really enjoyed creating this graphic covering the technology used within my school district. When creating this graphic I broke down how the different technologies are used at each grade level. After breaking down each technology to grades, I wrote a short description of the technology and why we use it at this grade level. The majority of our devices are managed and monitored using software call LanSchool. I broke this down on the side of the graphic to show which ones are monitored and managed. The bottom of the graphic shows the software and applications that we use at the school. The majority of them are management tools for teachers to use in the classroom, others allow enrichment activities, as well as filters and monitoring tools.

The graphic came together very well. I used a timeline like structure to show difference from 1st grade to 12th grade. I like that the description is below the section highlighted and allows the user to easily follow and learn about the system we use at our school. The bottom is split into its own section and allows the user to understand that their something else being talked about which in this instance is software and applications. I also used a gray background with an image that I dropped the opacity down on to give the reader a more visible view of the content.
